Our Business Development Center has been on a powerful health regime for the past six months in order to get in shape. Several of our employees knew that they wanted to lose weight and maintain a healthier lifestyle. That is when the department decided to get together and do it together as a team.
First thing that everyone did was stop ordering take out. Eating pizza, Chinese food, and even sushi each day is very high in calories and also very expensive. We all switched to grilled lean meats, vegetables, fruit, and proteins. At first it was very difficult but once everyone assimilated into this routine it made ordering take out a special once a week thing.
The second thing that they did was join a gym. The thing that has helped our employees the most was going to the classes and not just running on a treadmill for 30 minutes. The classes at LA Fitness in New Hyde Park have been really fun and beneficial to their weight loss plans. Not only do the classes burn a ton of calories but they are also fun and keeps their work outs exciting!
In the past six months our Business Development Center team has lost over 100 pounds so far! Each week they keep track of how many times they attended the gym and have been working hard to keep up the momentum. They found success in motivating one another and doing it together as a team.
